WRT - Water Damage Restoration Technician

This class is not for the meek and the mild. You
will learn about procedures for handling water damage restoration from the
initial damage survey through the final billing.
Topics such as Structural
Drying, Psychrometrics (the key to understanding drying), types of
dehumidifiers and why. Inspection procedures and health effects of
mircobial contamination will be thoroughly discussed. Emphasis will be
given to handling unusual circumstances and the proper application of the
theory of dehumidification and the use of air movers.
Insured and the
insurance representative will be discussed in detail. Special emphasis
will be given to the health and safety factors for the employee
technician, for the employer on behalf of the employee and for the people
who will be returning to the indoor environment after restoration.
Potential liability of the restoration contractor for the health of all
those involved with the loss will be of particular interest.
IICRC owns no schools and produces no training
materials. However, IICRC does recognize established schools throughout
the nation that meet specific standards of Certification. Ron Valega is an
instructor under the school of "J. Henry & Company/ TMC Group."
Anyone attending this class has the option at the
end of the course to take the IICRC Certification examination.
The examination, along with the proper application
and fees, is forwarded to the IICRC for processing. Once a person meets
the qualifications they are sent Certification credentials.
CLASS TIMES: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day.
Manual is included with each registration.
Certification testing begins immediately following the course. A separate
fee (cash, check, or credit card) payable to IICRC is required at the time
of testing.
